Health and Safety advice for Beads and Profile

Delivery and site handling

The beads are packed in cardboard cartons of 50 lengths. Metal lath and rib lath is wired in bundles of 10 sheets. Cartons and lath should be stored off the ground and under cover and always handled with gloves.

Materials

Hot dipped galvanised steel to BS ES 10142: 2000 DX51D Z275 (FePo2G Z275). BS EN 10142: 2000 DX51D Z450 (Fe Po2G Z450).

Novaplas has a base of hot dipped galvanised steel to above standard then polyester powder coated to give a duplex coating for high corrosion resistance.

Stainless steel to EN 1008/2:1995 1.4301(305S15)

Advice to follow

Choose beads and profiles of practical lengths to suit storey height and door sizes.

Products may have a residue of mineral oil wash hands after use. Where beads and profiles require to be cut to length gloves should be worn when handling or cutting the profiles. Cut the beads and lath with tinsnips and the profiles with a hacksaw taking care to de-burr and dress before use. Do not use a parting off grinder.
